No Mow May - Join the Movement!!

Hey Ridgefield Park residents! We're excited to announce that our community is participating in "No Mow May" for the second consecutive year! This means that we're encouraging everyone to let their lawns grow free for the month of May to help support pollinators and biodiversity.

To participate, all you have to do is place a "No Mow May" sign on your lawn for the month of May.  By placing the sign on your lawn during the month of May, you will be part of an important movement to provide a vital source of nectar for bees. Mowing less creates habitat and can increase the abundance and diversity of wildlife including bees and other pollinators. One way to reduce mowing is by participating in No Mow April, No Mow May, or Low Mow Spring. You don’t need to go a full month without mowing. Mowing every two or three weeks can increase flower blooms and provide food for hungry bees.

If you decide to participate in No Mow May and have a lawn sign on display, you will not be subject to lawn mowing requirements from the Village of Ridgefield Park during the month.

If you are interested in placing a sign on your lawn and being a part of this movement, please contact us at [email protected] or by contacting Leslie Olson at [email protected] or at 201-741-0774, and we'll make sure we get you to become part of this year's No Mow May campaign.
